Bethel is a host site for Nicanor’s meal program. On Thursdays at 4PM, you will find a great group of volunteers, from across denominational lines, offering a free meal to anyone who walks in the door. Guests are welcome to sit and fellowship with each other and volunteers, or they can take food to-go.
Nicanor devotes its energy to feeding Cecil County residents in need: everyone from the working poor who can’t make ends meet to the homeless. Our Agape program sends food bags home to over 193 school children in 12 schools every week for kids who don’t get enough to eat on weekends (when there are no school meals). Our meals program serves hot meals to to the hungry several nights a week around the county. We are an all-volunteer group always grateful to those who can help with donations of food, money, or an encouraging word! You can find more information here: Nicanor Inc – Online (nicanormd.org)
